Ever since I got their first CD, I always wanted to meet them, and tell them what I thought about their music and lyrics. My mom is a huge Toby Keith fan, so they were touring together, and my dad got us third row tickets off of E-bay. So we get there and at the venus, there is a sign, 6:30 Meet and Greet with Rascal Flatts and i was really mad, becuase you needed a pass and I didn't have one.
So we got in and took our seats, and my mom went to talk about getting into the Toby Keith Meet and Greet, and the security guard pointed her and her three friends to get in, but he sent her to the Rascal Flatts meet and greet person, so they got him to let me in to meet them.
Of course, at the time I had no clue what they were doing until my mom came back and told me to take off my jacket, becuase I made my own RF shirt to wear, and to grab my Melt CD. I asked her why, and she told me that I would find out. We got back to the backstage entrance and she told me that she got me into the Meet and Greet with Rascal Flatts, at first I didn't believe her, but the security guard ushered me in. I thought that I was dreaming, this was what I really wanted to happen.
The line wasn't really that long, so I got through in about 20 minutes. Jay was the first one to notice my shirt, and he said thanks, becuase it said "Rascal Flatts is the best", and then when I got up there, they said that they loved my t-shirt. I got sooo excited.
They were full of hugs and hellos. I got three hugs, one from each of them. I was one of the last people to meet Rascal Flatts. So we talked a little bit, and I got them to sign my CD cover and I got a picture with them. It was a really magical experience.
As I said, I had third row floor seats, and my seats ended up being right in front of Jay's microphone. They put on one heck of a good live show.
So then, afterwards we went to Champs, a sports grill, and there were these two guys, who looked exactly like Jay and Joe Don, that it was scary. My mom and cousin and their newly found friends were talking about Toby Keith (but what else is new), and they just kept passing by, and I was really scared, but it wasn't really them, I was really dissappointed.
I had my once in a lifetime fan experience, and it is one that I will never forget, but next time, I'll remember the Peanut M&Ms. Lol.
